This week two year 9 students have represented Blacon High School on a visit to Belgium and France to visit various sites of WWI battles, cemeteries and memorials. Layla Rodrigues and Rorie Ashton were chosen and have spent their time visiting and learning about the fighting in WWI and how to remember the fallen soldiers. A real highlight was when Rorie was chosen to lay a wreath in remembrance with a British soldier at the Menin Gate in Ypres. The students were outstanding and can't wait to share their Legacy 110 project with the the school and their community.
