UPDATE ON COVID CASE IN SCHOOL FROM THURSDAY 17th JUNE 2021
Dear parents and carers,
Further to my letter yesterday, informing you of a fourth positive case in school, I am writing with an update.
The guidelines state that we should identify direct contacts if anyone tests positive on a Lateral Flow Test. We always then ensure that the person has a PCR test to confirm the result.
We have received confirmation today that the PCR test for the case yesterday has just come back as negative. Therefore, all the direct contacts sent home yesterday will be returning to school on Monday 21st June. They will all receive an individual letter and text to confirm this.
May I thank you for your support with the PCR testing, for which we had a fantastic response, just short of 80% of families completed them.
May I remind you if you receive news of a positive result over the weekend, please email admin@blaconhigh.cheshire.sch.uk as soon as you receive your result. I would ask you not to wait until Monday because we will be able to act on it over the weekend and make contact with any direct contacts straight away.
Thank you once again for your support and help in keeping everyone safe.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Rachel Hudson
Headteacher
