Support with Food for Families
We have created food parcels for families of students eligible for Free School Meals at Blacon High School.
These can be collected once each week from the main reception between 9am - 3pm Monday to Friday. Please ensure you collect a slip to say that you have received your parcel.
If you then need additional food, please take your receipt to show you have already collected your parcel from us and you will be able to collect further supplies if needed from Western Avenue Medical Centre on Monday or Friday between 11am - 1pm.
If you are not eligible for Free School Meals you can still receive a food parcel from Western Avenue Medical Centre on Monday or Friday between 11am - 1pm. Please take your child's school planner with you as proof.
In addition food and supplies are also available for any families in need from;
Holy Trinity Church Hall, which is open on a Monday and Thursday morning from 11:00am to 12:00 noon
To be eligible for the food from Holy Trinity, families/individuals should live in Blacon, be in receipt of a state benefit or have applied for a state benefit /are waiting for universal credit and or their children should be eligible for free school meals.
Please note, these will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
