Year 9 Move to Remote Learning for 2 days
Dear parents and carers,
Today, we have reviewed our current levels of staff absence and updated our risk assessment. Due to the number of teachers currently absent from school, mostly linked to Covid, we have assessed the staffing ratios and made the following decision, to keep everyone safe.
The school will close to students in Year 9 only for 2 days on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th March. All of these students will be expected to continue with their learning remotely through Google Classroom where work will be available to complete at home.
Year 9 will be expected back in school for the final week of term from Monday 28th March.
School will remain open to all other year groups with Years 7, 8, 10 and 11 attending as normal.
Information on Google Classroom can be found on the Home Learning section of the school website.

For all students eligible for free school meals, a packed lunch with a sandwich, cake, fruit and drink will be available to collect from the main school reception between 12.30 and 1.00pm. If you would like to order this, please ring the school reception in the morning or email admin@blaconhigh.cheshire.sch.uk so that we can prepare enough to meet the demand.
Our priority is to remain open to ensure students continue to access their learning and to make sure that staffing levels are in place to keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your continued support and please rest assured that we will continue to monitor the situation carefully. I will keep you updated as necessary.
Regards,
Rachel Hudson
