Blacon High School – More than a School
This is an exciting prospect for a talented and inspirational teacher of Science to join a dynamic faculty within this very successful 11-16 secondary school. You will have the energy and enthusiasm to work with young people to achieve their full potential, to make a difference to their lives and act as a role model.
The successful candidate will have proven success in delivering all three Sciences throughout KS3 and KS4, with the ability to specialise in Biology at KS4. Applicants will be able to demonstrate positive outcomes for all groups of students and have the ability to engage and enthuse learners.
You will be joining a well-established and committed team who firmly believe that there are no limits to what our students can achieve. The department is well resourced and enjoys excellent facilities.
Blacon High School prides itself on being relentless in its desire to provide outstanding learning opportunities. In September 2016 we moved into a new state of the art building and a further extension was completed in September 2021 due to the school being oversubscribed for the 4th year. This has enabled the school to grow from 600 to 750 students.
