This is an exciting prospect for a talented and inspirational Teacher of Music, to join a thriving department within this very successful 11-16 secondary school. You will have the energy and enthusiasm to work with young people to achieve their full potential, to make a difference to their lives and act as a role model. The ability to teach piano is desirable.

The post would suit an outstanding teacher who is committed to teaching at the highest standard and raising aspirations and achievements of our students. Evidence of achieving successful outcomes at KS4 is desirable, although ECTs will be considered for the post.

Applicants should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, initiative and resilience, and most importantly, the passion to make a difference and a firm belief that there are no limits to what our students can achieve.

Blacon High School prides itself on being relentless in its desire to provide outstanding learning opportunities, and the successful candidate will join a well-established team. In September 2016 we moved into a new state of the art building and a further extension was completed in September 2021 due to the school being oversubscribed for the 4th year. This has enabled the school to grow from 600 to 750 students.
