We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and inspirational Teacher of Computer Science and Business Studies, with energy, vision, and a commitment to innovation, to join this very successful 11 - 16 secondary school.

The successful candidate will be expected to promote and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and attainment in Computer Science and Business Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4, and to ensure the highest standards of assessment and behaviour for learning are applied in all classes.

The Computer Science & ICT department offers a fantastic range of opportunities for our students across all year groups and delivers a broad, diverse and engaging Computer Science and ICT curriculum. The successful candidate will support students to develop a curiosity about the digital world around them, while ensuring that high-quality learning takes place and that outstanding attainment and progress are secured at Key Stages 3 and 4.

The post would suit an outstanding teacher who is committed to teaching at the highest standard and raising aspiration and achievement. Applicants should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, initiative and resilience, and most importantly, the passion to make a difference and a firm belief that there are no limits to what our students can achieve.

Blacon High School prides itself on being relentless in its desire to provide outstanding learning opportunities, and the successful candidate will join a well-established team. In September 2016 we moved into a new state of the art building and a further extension was completed in September 2021 due to the school being oversubscribed for the 4th year. This has enabled the school to grow from 600 to 750 students.
