Launched in September 2022, our curriculum+ model provides students with a innovative pathway to be successful. Students access a full curriculum outlined in the statutory national curriculum framework for each key stage, whilst also studying additional courses, to enhance their repertoire of qualifications. Groups are small and lessons are delivered by specialist teachers. Students are supported both inside and outside of the classroom, by our family support worker and one of the 6 inclusion officers who are assigned to a year group and are present in all lessons, to nurture, support and guide learning. All teaching is delivered in our new building, which opened in September 2021 providing a fantastic environment to learn and make progress. This unique and inclusive pathway also offers weekly opportunities for students to learn outside of the classroom, through complimenting the curriculum with external provision. This provision is provided by our partners; Route 5 Pursuits, the Educate Group and the Nailbase Academy, who offer a wide range of qualifications and outdoor experiences to both KS3 and KS4 students. We are currently working on expanding our provision by working with new providers to widen the opportunities for our students.
