Blacon High School Celebrates GCSE Success 2025

Blacon High School is proud to celebrate the achievements of our students in this year’s GCSE examinations. These results are a reflection not only of academic success, but also of the dedication, resilience, and maturity our students have shown throughout their time with us.
This year’s cohort has faced exceptional challenges, having begun their secondary education during the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite these difficulties, they have consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, determination to succeed, and a commitment to our school values of Respect, Resilience, and Relationships. Their achievements highlight their individual growth and collective strength as a year group.
We are delighted to celebrate some exceptional individual performances. Fran achieved an impressive combination of four Distinctions and Grade 9s and will now go on to study Performing Arts at LIPA, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Ella secured six Grade 9s and three Grade 8s and is moving on to study A-levels in Religious Education, Psychology and Biology at The Royal Masonic School for Girls in Hertfordshire.
While we applaud these outstanding academic results, we also recognise that success takes many forms. We are incredibly proud of every student who has worked hard to reach their personal goals and fulfil their potential.
Headteacher Rachel Hudson said:
“We are immensely proud of all our students. Their results are a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the support of our dedicated staff. These outcomes truly demonstrate the ethos and values of Blacon High School and our partnership with parents. Whether they are continuing their studies, beginning an apprenticeship, or entering the world of work, we wish each and every one of them the very best for the next stage of their journey.”
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 — we look forward to seeing all you will accomplish in the years ahead.
