1stJune 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,
We hope everyone has remained safe and well during these challenging times.
Further to the UK Government’s recent information regarding the potential and conditional phased re-opening of schools, we are now working tirelessly in line with the current COVID-19 guidelines to look at inviting Year 10 students, initially, for face-to-face meetings with staff during the week of the 22nd June. This will enable students to reconnect and ask any questions they may have following this period of absence from school. Following these meetings, we would then look to ask Year 10 students to come into school for one morning each week and eventually, some lessons later in June and early July.
No more than one quarter of the year (30 students) would be in at one time and this group would be split into two `bubbles’ in 2 classrooms, both modified to enable social distancing for staff and students. Further detailed information will be made available to you in the coming weeks but at this stage, we need to know how many parents will be sending students in Year 10 back to school for part of the summer term.
We are putting an extensive range of measures in place to protect both students and staff but it is necessary, at this stage of our planning, that we gather some information from you (see our survey below), one of the main questions being whether or not your child will be returning to school. This will give us an indication of numbers so that we can plan effectively.
ACTION REQUIRED BY WEDNESDAY 3RD JUNE:
Please complete the following survey by clicking on the link below, no later than Wednesday 3rd June.

Following the results of the survey, we will then be able to make further information available to you.
Finally, we urge you to remain safe and continue to follow the Government guidelines. We are all missing the students and look forward to seeing them again very soon.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Rachel Hudson
