HALF TERM 2

Students will continue to learn key topics based around exam preparation. Lessons to include; 

  • Different forms and features of business ownership
  • Sources of funding (capital) to start up a business

Purposes of different functional areas needed in a new business (marketing, human resources, finance) 

HALF TERM 3

Students will continue to learn key topics based around exam preparation. Lessons to include; 

  • Concept of product lifecycle
  • Product differentiation in business
  • Impact of external factors on product development
  • Pricing products based on customer base
  • Importance of customer service within business
  • Test to recap learning. 

HALF TERM 4

Introduction to R065 Coursework, coursework will include; 

  • How to identify a target market?
  • Building a customer profile (age, gender, race, ethnicity, lifestyle, class)
  • Market segmentation (demographic, geographic, behavioural, psychographic).
  • Market research (primary, secondary, qualitative, quantitative).
  • Designing a product which includes pricing, brand, logo etc.
  • Reviewing their product (strengths and weaknesses) based on the customer profile they identified.
