Blacon High School celebrated a double Table Tennis competition success as the boys Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 team won the Chester & District Table Tennis tournament.
Joe Thompson, Harry Whitehouse, Bradley Broadbent and Kelni Jones were the star Year 7/8 players, winning all their games and they had too much for Abbeygate College who finished runners up.
Layton Ashford, Jake Dean, Lochlan Hardy and Charlie Cottis were the impressive Year 9/10 team who never lost a game to Abbeygate and comfortably beat runners up Tarporley High School with some excellent rallies and shots being played.
Head of PE Mr Cairns was very impressed with both teams at the tournaments and said "This is the third year in a row we have won the district Table Tennis competitions. Students enjoy Table Tennis in lessons and perform to a good standard and enjoy the challenge at district level. The PE department are very proud and pleased with the double achievement".
