Blacon High School Celebrates GCSE Success 2026

Blacon High School is proud to celebrate the achievements of our students in this year’s GCSE examinations. These results are a reflection not only of academic success, but also of the dedication, resilience, and hard work our students have shown throughout their time with us.

The class of 2026 have consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, determination to succeed, and a commitment to our school values of Respect, Resilience, and Relationships. Their achievements highlight their individual growth and collective strength as a year group.

We are delighted to celebrate some exceptional individual performances. Congratulations to Hayden who achieved 4 grade 9s in Maths and Science, Distinction, 3 8s and 1 grade 7 who is going on to study Further Maths, Maths, Economics and Chemistry at Kings and his sister, Chloe who achieved grade 7s and 8s across the board and a Distinction and is going on to study English Language, Psychology and Sociology at Upton.

Congratulations to Jordan who achieved 4 grade 9s in Maths, Further Maths and Science, Distinction* in Music, 3 grade 7s and one 5 and he is going on to study Further Maths, Maths, Physics and Chemistry at Upton by Chester. We are also proud of George achieving two grade 9s in English and Science, 2 Distinctions, 3 8s and a 7 who is going on to study Maths, Chemistry and Physics also at Upton.

Well done also to Charlie who achieved two grade 9s, 2 8s and 6s who is going on to study French, Politics and Sociology at Upton, after spending the summer doing charity work abroad.

Our high ability students achieved well above the national average in all of their subjects with the highest ever number of top grade 9s achieved at 18. We are also delighted with superb results in Art, Graphics, Product Design, Music, Sport, Performing Arts, Child Development and Languages with three grade 9s in Spanish, Arabic and French.

We are incredibly proud of every student who has worked hard to reach their personal goals and fulfil their potential.
