A cake sale is always a popular way of raising money at school but to support this year’s Children in Need, lots of staff took part in a ‘Bake Off’ competition
As you can see from the photographs, there was an absolutely amazing effort from all concerned and not a little ‘healthy’ competition.
Text messaging, Facebook and WhatsApp were on fire on Wednesday evening as messages and images showing the progress of everyone’s cake creations were shared.
Students couldn’t get enough of the delicious treats made by all of their favourite teachers and we’re very generous in the cake sale, which was held during break and at lunchtime.
The winner, by universal agreement was Mr Green’s amazing volcano cake, which was even themed to his subject area. He won a bottle of Prosecco.
Runner up was Mrs Salisbury for her delicious Eton Mess style desserts. She won a box of biscuits.
The booby prize went to Mrs Mackintosh for a sterling effort!!! She won a chocolate orange.
We are still counting but raised well over a hundred pounds; we will confirm the final amount in the coming days.
A lot of fun, a great team effort and some funds for a wonderful charity.
Huge thanks to all who took part.
