- 5.00pm – 5.30pm Welcome from Ms Richards (Progress Leader)
Presentation by Mr Scoltock (Deputy Headteacher)
Presentation from Miss Thomas (Assistant Headteacher)
- 5.30pm – 7.00pm Progress meetings with subject teachers in classrooms.
Your son/daughter has completed their final set of mock exams for the GCSE/BTEC courses they are studying. The results of these exams will offer an important insight into the progress each student is making towards their target grades and will identify areas they need to work on as they move towards the external exams which begin in May.
The evening will start in the Hall with a welcome from the Progress Leader, Ms Richards followed by a short presentation by Mr Scoltock to share key information regarding the mock exams and the external exams that will take place in the summer term. Miss Thomas will also take the opportunity to provide information on post 16 applications and careers advice. The parent/teacher meetings will take place in classrooms and will provide an opportunity for you to discuss your child’s individual progress with their subject teachers. It is vital that we work together to support your son/daughter in preparing for their final exams and to assist them in making considered choices for their next steps in education or training. Students will be issued with appointment cards and should arrange meetings with their subject teachers.
It is very important that your son/daughter attends this Progress Evening with you (wearing full school uniform) so they can share in the discussions with subject teachers regarding progress towards their target grades. We look forward to meeting with you on Wednesday, 4th March 2020.
