Teacher of PE
Required for September 2018, full time, fixed term for one year in the first instance, MPS
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and committed Teacher of PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 to GCSE Level at this 11 – 16 high school. You will have the energy and enthusiasm to work with young people to achieve their full potential, to make a difference to their lives and act as a role model. You will be an experienced and hardworking teacher with a strong commitment to extra-curricular activities and who works well within a team.
The successful candidate will work within a cohesive and well developed department to provide teaching across KS3 and KS4. The position will be suited either to an NQT or experienced PE teacher. You will be innovative and have the ability to deliver practical lessons to KS3 students and a combination of practical and theory lessons to students who have chosen to study examination PE. We are looking for a passionate PE teacher who has a good understanding of the curriculum and can deliver engaging lessons which inspire students to challenge their own learning.
Blacon High School prides itself on being restless and always striving for improvement. In our most recent OFSTED in January 2016 we received a Good grading. We are now looking towards improving upon this as we move forward. In September 2016 we moved into a new state of the art building with excellent sports’ facilities including a new 3G pitch.
