Dear Parents & Guardians,
Mental Health
We are delighted with the way in which our learners have adapted to this latest lockdown and as always value your support at this time. We wanted to take this opportunity to provide Parents, carers and learners with some useful links for those requiring a little extra help. The YoungMinds charity provides mental health support to young people and their families and has produced some very useful guides to help us all navigate the pandemic.

On line safety
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, people are relying even more on online technology. As learning has moved predominantly online children are spending more time online – and expanding the ways they use the internet. While this can bring benefits to children’s education, mental health and wellbeing, children can be exposed to risk online. Therefore, as parents and guardians it is important to have oversight of what they are up to and make sure that you and they are aware of the potential risks. To support you in this we would like to share some useful links to support you to be informed:
Thinkuknow: Continuing to their parents and carers website with advice on keeping children safe online while they are at home.
Parent Info: For support with key issues that families face during lockdown and social distance, parents and carers can access advice onParent Info, a free newsfeed service run by NCA-CEOP and Parent Zone.
The Mix: The Mix provides a free helpline for under-25s enabling them to seek support with any issues that are worrying them, including sex and relationships and staying safe online.
