Admissions
Admissions to Blacon High School are controlled by the Cheshire West and Chester Local Authority.
Admission to Year 7
Applications are made to the LA by 31st October in the preceding year of entry. Parents will be informed of the procedure by a letter from Cheshire West and Chester LA though more information can be found at www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/admissions.
We have very close working links with our partner schools and others in the area to ensure that the transition from primary to secondary school is as smooth and effective as possible. There are many opportunities during your child's time in primary school to come and visit Blacon High and take part in educational activities to allow them to get a feel of a secondary school environment. An Open Week is held during September each year but parents and students are welcome to visit the school at other times too. Please contact the school office on 01244 371475 if you wish to arrange a visit.
In Year Admissions
In the first instance, please could all parent and carers contact the school office on 01244 371475 and leave a request for your son / daughter to be able to join Blacon High School and one of our senior leadership team members will be in contact to discuss this with you.
