Blacon High School Goes Pink
Blacon High School invited students to wear something pink to support #WearItPink on 20th October to raise awareness and much needed funds for research into breast cancer.
There was a variety of fun activities during the day including a cake sale, which raised almost £120 and guess the number of sweets in the jar. Students also donated 50p to wear something pink for the day.
Lots of staff and students joined in and were very generous with their donations. The kitchen staff ensured that even the cakes in the school diner had pink icing at lunchtime.
We are still counting but we raised over £250 on the day.
Thank you and a big ‘Well Done’ to all, especially the Student Leadership Team who helped to organise the day’s activities are always very generous with their time when we are fund raising.
